What do I do if word does not come true?
Shawn shares a story about when someone prophesied to their church leadership that someone was going to buy their church a building in Hollywood.. At the time a building that matched the exact same description was for sale in that location. They provided a specific date when this would happen.. The date came and went and the word did not come to pass. In fact the church is still renting the same building that they were when the word was given. This of course was a painful experience for Shawn and the church leadership.
Ultimately if someone gives you a very specific word and it does not happen it is a false word. Shawn and church leadership adjusted and has made the best they can out of the space that they currently have. After all the church is not about the building but about the people and the community is thriving.

- You are cautious when you receive another word from that same person
- You reset your heart
- You do not allow the negative experience define your view of God and the prophetic
