Myth - Shawn you have a word for me!
People create this myth because there is a disconnect about what the prophetic is. Prophecy is communication between the Father and someone that He wants to speak to. God wants to speak to you directly and use people in your to speak to you first. Sometimes the Father will speak through people like Shawn or other well known prophets but this is not necessary in order to hear from God. You hear from God and that is enough.
Our need to get a word fro someone else can become egotistical. Some people collect words form well known leaders or prophets as if they are looking for a blueprint that defines their significance. You are already significant! Do not look for your significant from the prophetic. The prophetic is a tool that adds a way to illuminate significance but it should not define identity.
Shawn does not have a word for most people because he does not know most things about most people. It is unusual for Him to know a great deal of information about people int he room. The Lord does not share information with Him about millions of people all the time because this is unessary and it would be overwhelming. If he prophecies over 2-3 people daily that is thousands of people over the course of a lifetime. The majority of the time Shawn and all prophetic voices walk in the gift of not knowing because they are not God. The prophetic comes on a need to know basis.
Often times people write in and say that they have had a dream about Shawn speaking over them. This usually means that God wants to give the gift of faith that God himself is speaking directly to them. Remember that you do not need to make something happens. Trust that if God has a word for you from Shawn or anyone else that He will make it happen. It's best to trust God in this rather than asking for a word.
